American Legion Auxiliary Unit #30 holds monthly suppers and meetings, September thru June.
Membership dues are $22.00 per year. Membership eligibility is American Legion Membership of a family member. Life Membership and Insurance are available.
The unit sponsors Poppy Month, which is held each May. Americanism, Children and Youth, Education Scholarships, Girls State, and Veterans Affairs. The Unit participates in Community Services, Defense and National Security, Foreign Relations, Legislation, and Leadership Development. Our color guard participates in the Memorial Day Services and funerals for deceased members upon the request of the families. Our Gold Star Mothers are honored. The teachers and staff are remembered and presented a box of apples to share during National Education Week. Our unit hosts the Veterans Day breakfast held at the Legion Club Rooms and is open to the public. We contribute to charitable organizations such as Veterans Soldiers Home at Lisbon and the Veterans Hospital in Fargo. The organization also contributes to the New Rockford Fire Department and the Community Ambulance Service, both made up of volunteers.
The American Legion Auxiliary is one of the largest organizations in the Nation. Our unit is made up of 9 elected officers and 3 board members.
