"In the Spirit of Giving"

The New Rockford Community Foundation (NRCF) is a permanent community endowment fund created in 2008 through individual and business donations, and grown through fundraisers and donations each year. Every spring, the Foundation board gives away the interest generated by the fund to local groups and non-profit organizations, leaving the fund principal intact to grow and generate more grant money in perpetuity. Grants are only available to groups, organizations, and projects serving the community of New Rockford.

The North Dakota Community Foundation administers the fund on behalf of the NRCF. Fundraising efforts and grantmaking decisions are undertaken by the local advisory board.

The board meets as needed throughout the year. Grant applications are requested in April, with an award decision made in May. The NRCF has also launched a signature annual fundraising event, "Deal or No Deal", held on St. Patrick's Day weekend.
