American Legion Auxiliary Unit #30


American Legion Auxiliary Unit #30 Raymond BN. Thorn Post holds monthly suppers and meetings, September thru June on the first Wednesday of the month with supper at 6:00 pm and meeting to follow. Membership dues are $31.00 per year. Membership eligibility is American Legion Membership of a family member. Life Membership and Insurance are available.

The unit sponsors Poppy Month, which is held each May. We also sponsor Americanism, Children and Youth, Education Scholarships, Girls State, and Veterans Affairs. The Unit participates in Community Services, Defense and National Security, Foreign Relations, Legislation, and Leadership Development. Our Gold Star Mothers are honored. The teachers and staff are remembered and presented a box of apples to share during National Education Week. Our unit hosts the annual Veterans Day breakfast held at the Eagles Club and is open to the public. We contribute to charitable organizations such as Veterans Soldiers Home at Lisbon and the Veterans Hospital in Fargo. The organization also contributes to the New Rockford Fire Department and the Community Ambulance Service, both made up of volunteers.
