Eagles Club Making Changes
August 28th, 2012 – The Eagles Club in New Rockford is taking a fresh look at its operations this fall, making changes and additions to activities and food/beverage services alike.
The smoke-free club building includes a kitchen serving meals and appetizers, as well as catering for events, a large dance floor, dinner seating for 300, and full bar open Monday to Saturday from 4:30 pm to 2:00 am. The facility may be rented for special events, including an outdoor tent for larger crowds.
In addition to current offerings, such as darts, pull tabs, billiards, and poker, some of the new items to watch for this fall include:
Drink specials - Monday through Thursday, Eagles members may purchase any drink for $2.25. Anyone who comes in wearing school colors after any high school sporting event will also receive discounted drinks.
Social events - Football fans will enjoy NFL Redzone game coverage on Thursdays this fall. The 3rd Friday of each month will now be Birthday Night, when anyone with a birthday that month can come in for free cake and discounted drinks.
Games - To raise funds for special projects, there will be a weekly 50/50 raffle. Tickets will be sold Monday through Saturday every week for a 10 pm Saturday drawing, and the winner has until 7 pm Tuesday night to come in and claim their prize, which is 50% of all money paid in that week. Friday and Saturday nights will also have blackjack tables, starting October 5th.
Food - Starting September 1st, the kitchen will be open Wednesday through Saturday, 5:30-8:30 pm, serving a full menu. Also coming in September, fried appetizers will be served directly from the bar at any time, thanks to the installation of an autofry at the bar.
Since merging with the Devils Lake aerie last year, the New Rockford club hosts around 500 members, and is always looking for more. The club holds two meetings per month, on the first and third Wednesday, which are open to all members. Membership is $30, stop in at the club for an application.
