“Deal or No Deal” Event Tickets on Sale Now

February 25th, 2013 – This year’s “Deal or No Deal” fundraiser is almost here, with the event set for the evening of Saturday, March 16, at the Eagles Club in New Rockford. The game, based loosely on the hit TV show, will award $2000 in cash prizes and seven large giveaway items, in addition to a full catered dinner.

Registration and a social hour will begin at 6 p.m., with choice of roast beef or shrimp dinner starting at 6:30. The Deal or No Deal game will begin at 7:00 p.m. with the first round of eliminations. After each round, mini-games for more cash prizes and audience challenges for freebies will keep the crowd entertained and playing along as the final players are decided.

The final 25 players left in the game will be offered equal shares of $2000 cash, or the opportunity to play on for the chance to win even more money, at the risk of being eliminated. Last year’s cash prize was divided between just two finalists, in the amount of $1000 each.

This year’s fundraiser will be sponsored by the New Rockford Area Betterment Corporation (NRABC), in collaboration with and on behalf of the New Rockford Community Foundation, a permanent grant fund for local projects. As with all funds raised or donated to the Foundation, the event’s proceeds will be matched by the North Dakota Community Foundation dollar for dollar, doubling the total impact of the event.

Contact the NRABC or any Foundation board member to purchase your tickets for this once-a-year spectacle. To learn more about the Foundation or to make a donation, contact the local coordinator, Jessica Dillon, at 947-2205 or speak to an advisory board member: Josh Guler, Gail Weisenburger, Tom Hartl, Laura Anderson, Loren Nieuwsma, Amy Cudworth and Kerri Allmaras.
