Locally, W-E Wind, LLC has been developing a wind energy project in Eddy and Wells Counties since 2008. This year the goal is to secure the resources needed to secure land lease agreements for a 50W wind project. Once the leases have been signed, the project will be pitched to potential power purchasers or developers who have the resources and expertise to build and operate a wind project.
On Monday, June 16 W-E Wind LLC will hold a public meeting to provide more details about the project's stage and resources needed. The meeting will be held at the Spicy Roadkill Cafe in Sheyenne at 7:30 pm.
Warren Enyart, Senior Consultant and Wind Energy Expert for Praxis Strategy Group, will speak at the event. Enyart has over 40 years experience in the energy industry, and has overseen the sighting and environmental regulatory compliance of large-scale wind farms, coal-fired generation plants, and high voltage transmission lines.
