4th Annual Firecracker 5k Run/Walk to Benefit Community Pool Project
June 2nd, 2014 – Rockin’ Fitness will hold its annual Firecracker 5k Run-Walk at 8 a.m. on Friday, July 4th. All proceeds from this year’s 5k will be donated to the Community Swimming Pool Project. The race will begin and end in the park near the swimming pool. Check-in and registration will open at 7:30 a.m.
Pre-registration is open now - entry for adult participants is $25 before June 19 or $35 from June 20 until race day. Youth runners (12 and under) may pre-register for $15, or $20 after June 19. Pre-registered runners will also receive a free race t-shirt at the event. Prizes will be awarded for best times in Men’s, Women’s, and new for this race, Youth (12 and under) categories.
Rockin’ Fitness manager Brittany Allmaras says, “We are very excited to be hosting this event on behalf of the pool project. The pool is a major source of healthy physical activity for our community, and it’s important for us to show our support for the new facility.”
