Santa Day Brings North Pole to New Rockford
November 12th, 2012 – Children sixth grade and younger are invited to come and play at the North Pole for Santa Day at the Brown Memorial on Saturday, December 1. A carnival with games, toys, and treats will be put on by the Chamber of Commerce and the Lions Club from 2-4 p.m., following a 1 p.m. children’s movie matinee at the Rockford Theatre (entry free with donation of non-perishable food item for the food pantry).
In addition to fun and games, kids can meet a very special guest, as Santa himself will make a visit to New Rockford for photos and to listen to the children’s gift wishes. Children from all around are welcome, and parents are invited to visit local merchants to do some holiday shopping while kids watch the movie or play at the carnival.
Parents, grandparents, other adults and high school students are welcome to come and help make Santa Day even more wonderful – decorating and set-up will take place Thursday, November 29 at 7 p.m., and extra help during the event is always needed and greatly appreciated.
