Monster Dash Costume 5k Set for October
Sept. 1, 2015 – Rockin’ Fitness and race sponsor, Peak Performance Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine, are excited to announce the 1st Annual Monster Dash costume 5k run/walk on Saturday, October 10th.
The costume-optional 5k run/walk will begin at 5:00 p.m. at Rockin’ Fitness, with check-in and race day registration beginning at 4:00 p.m. All participants will be given glow sticks to carry along as they race and pace their way through the community of New Rockford, with the finish line back at Rockin’ Fitness where hot chocolate, apple cider, and yummy treats will be served.
Prizes for top men, women, and youth finishers will be awarded, as well as prizes in the costume category. Rockin’ Fitness manager Kathy Teschner says, “We’re so excited to offer something new like this – it’s a fun, healthy, family-friendly event, with a little bit of silliness added in.”
In order to receive a pre-registration price of $25.00 and a free t-shirt, participants must register on or before September 24th. A $35.00 registration fee will apply after the 24th. Fee for youth 12 and under is $15.00. Youth t-shirt sizes will also be available during preregistration.
