“Deal or No Deal” Dinner and Game Show Tickets on Sale Now
February 17th, 2014 – This year’s “Deal or No Deal” fundraiser is almost here, with the event set for the evening of Saturday, March 15, at the New Rockford Golf Course and Event Center. The game, based loosely on the hit TV show, will award $2000 in cash prizes, over $500 in other prizes and gift certificates, in addition to an evening of entertainment and a full catered dinner.
Registration and a social hour will begin at 6 p.m., followed by dinner of roast beef, chicken Mornay with creamy white wine sauce, garlic mashed potatoes, candied carrots, and apple crisp. The Deal or No Deal game will begin at 7:00 p.m. with the first round of eliminations. After each round, mini-games for more cash prizes and audience challenges for freebies will keep the crowd entertained and playing along as the final players are decided.
The final 25 players left in the game will be offered equal shares of $2000 cash, or the opportunity to play on for the chance to win even more money, at the risk of being eliminated. For the last two years, the grand cash prize was divided between just two finalists, in the amount of $1000 each.
The fundraiser is held by and on behalf of the New Rockford Community Foundation, a permanent endowment fund that provides grant money to local non-profits. This year’s event is sponsored in part by Bank Forward, the New Rockford Eagles Club, CenDak Farmers Union, Surety Title Company, Nicolai Chiropractic, Dean Wallace Construction, the New Rockford Lions Club, Town and Country Veterinary Service & Roughrider Feeds, Amy & Robert Cudworth, and with the support of the New Rockford Area Betterment Corporation and many other local businesses and organizations.
