February 9th, 2015 – This year’s “Deal or No Deal” dinner and game show event, the signature fundraiser for the New Rockford Community Foundation, is coming up on March 14 at the New Rockford Eagles Club. The game, based loosely on the hit TV show, will award $2000 in cash prizes and over $700 in other prizes and gift certificates, in addition to an evening of entertainment and a full catered dinner.

Registration and a social hour will begin at 6 p.m., followed by dinner with choice of chicken or beef entrée. The Deal or No Deal game will begin at 7:00 p.m. with the first round of eliminations. After each round, mini-games for more cash prizes and audience challenges for freebies will keep the crowd entertained and playing along as the final players are decided.

The final 25 players left in the game will be offered equal shares of $2000 cash, or the opportunity to play on for the chance to win even more money, at the risk of being eliminated. For the last three years, the grand cash prize was divided between just two finalists, in the amount of $1000 each.

The fundraiser is held by and on behalf of the New Rockford Community Foundation, a permanent endowment fund that provides grant money to local non-profits. Since it began in 2010, the Foundation has granted back $8400, with another $3000 available for 2015 projects. As the fund grows, the amount available each year increases.

Business sponsorships from generous local donors more than match this year’s anticipated event proceeds. Deal or No Deal 2015 is sponsored in part by Bank Forward, New Rockford Eagles Club, TL Construction/Big Daddy’s Fill-n-Grill, North American Bison Co-Op, Evans Funeral Home, CenDak Farmers Union, New Rockford Lions Club, Eagles Women’s Auxiliary, Donn Frahm Insurance, Central Pharmacy, James River Dentistry, Central Dakota Customs, Fessenden Co-op Association, Mick’s 281 Service, Roughrider Feeds, and with the support of the New Rockford Area Betterment Corporation and more than two dozen additional local businesses and organizations.

Contact the NRABC or any Foundation board member to purchase your tickets for this once-a-year spectacle. Deal or No Deal tickets are $50, and are limited to 200 total. To purchase tickets, learn more about the Foundation, or to make a donation, contact the local coordinator, Jessica Dillon, at (701) 947-2205 or speak to an advisory board member: Josh Guler, Tom Hartl, Laura Hager, Trisa Fullen, Amy Cudworth and Kerri Allmaras.
