The Vine Intervention to Host Wine Tasting at Opera House
December 3, 2015 - The Dakota Prairie Regional Center for the Arts, in association with The Vine Intervention Wine Club, is proud to present a Tour of the World wine tasting series. The first of three installments will be held at 7:00 PM on Friday, December 18 at the Opera House on Central Avenue in New Rockford.
Hosted by Jessica Dillon, the event promises to be a welcome addition to any of your holiday plans. Dillon, a long-time oenophile, says of the evening: “The idea is to provide our community an opportunity to sample wines from various regions of world – wines not typically found in this area. But it’s not ‘wine snobbery.’ It’s wine appreciation. We’ll taste the various vintages, we’ll talk about them… it’ll be a fun learning experience actually.”
The wines included in the first installment will consist of a Le Grand Noir Brut Reserve Sparkling chardonnay from France, a Justin Sauvignon Blanc from California, and a Conquista Malbec from Argentina. For $20.00 patrons will receive a sample of each wine, one full glass of anything on the menu, and a beautiful Tour of the World commemorative wine glass. In addition to the three wines, Jack’s Tavern will be open for a la carte alcohol purchases and a full menu of wraps, salads, and flatbreads will be offered.
The idea of the series is to culminate in the DPRCA’s annual Uncapped & Uncorked event (Saturday, October 8, 2016). As such, after Friday the 18th, there will be additional tastings on March 18 and June 17 – each featuring three new and exclusive wines.
Tickets will be sold for $20.00 at the door. For more information, look for an announcement on DPRCA’s Facebook page or call 701-947-2174. This event will only be open to patrons 21 years of age or older.
