October 20th, 2014 – Tickets are now available for Dakota Prairie Regional Center for the Arts’ (DPRCA’s) fall production, a musical adaptation of the classic holiday film It’s a Wonderful Life, opening November 7th at the Old Church Theatre in New Rockford.

It's A Wonderful Life is a musical adaptation of Frank Capra's Christmas classic masterpiece film. It tells the story of George Bailey, altruistic everyman from the small town of Bedford Falls, whose dreams of escape and adventure are suspended by family obligations and civic duty, and whose guardian angel must descend on Christmas Eve to save him from despair, and to remind him - by showing him what the world would have been like had he never been born - that he has had, after all, a wonderful life.

The show is directed by DPRCA’s Artistic Director, Elliott Schwab, and produced by Managing Director Deb Belquist, with musical direction by Annette Hovey. Technical direction and set design for the show are by Jared Kolles, with lights and sound by Case Dillon and Rhianne Bowman. In addition to Schwab and Kolles, the cast includes Jeff Labrensz, Deb Belquist, Braxton Meehan, Erin Greiner, Joel Schock, Kevin Cartwright, Tessa Hartl, Jon Johnson, Case Dillon, Jay Bauer, and Medora Kolles.

DPRCA’s Upstage Gallery arts and retail shop will be open before and during performances for audience members to peruse pieces by local and regional artists. A variety of hot and cold beverages, as well as wine and beer, are available to enjoy during the show. Pre-show dinners are also served in the theatre’s lower level at the Garden of Eatin’ Bistro, by reservation through the box office.

It’s a Wonderful Life will run at the Old Church Theatre - 529 Central Ave in New Rockford - from November 7 through December 7, for twelve total performances. Friday shows are at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday shows are 2:30 p.m. matinees. Tickets are on sale now at www.dprca.com or at the box office at (701) 947-2174. All tickets are $25.
