New Rockford Swimming Pool Open for Summer Season
June 16th, 2014 - The New Rockford Community Swimming Pool opened on June 4 this year, just in time for some hot weather. The pool is managed by Drew Kline, Park Board Recreation Manager, with 10 teens and adults working as lifeguards. All lifeguards are Red Cross Lifeguard Certified. Lifeguards this summer are Alicia Louters, Alexis Lies, Hannah Heinz, Jacob Lommen, Savanna Buskness, Katie Thompson, Brayton Meehan, Joe Greiner, Rebecca Allmaras, and Renelle Allmaras.
The pool is open every day from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. There are several special swim nights including Family Floatie Night on Sundays from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. where families can bring a flotation toy for the pool. Pre-Teen Night for seventh, eighth and ninth graders is on Wednesdays from 9:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and Teen Night for tenth, eleventh and twelfth grades is on Thursdays from 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Adult Lap Swim is available Monday through Friday from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.
