New Rockford Chamber Elects Officers, Undergoes Strategic Planning
January 14th, 2013 – The New Rockford Area Chamber of Commerce held its annual meeting in January, electing new officers and embarking on a month-long strategic planning session facilitated by the New Rockford Area Betterment Corporation.
The Chamber board for 2013 consists of Jessica Dillon, President; Sarah Smith Warren, Vice President; Annette Duda, Secretary; Tammy Longnecker, Treasurer; Jeannette Perleberg, Paula Seiler, Ardyce Snyder, Kelly McKnight, and Colleen Hagen, Directors. The Chamber Board holds regular meetings at noon on the first Thursday of each month at Baker’s Dozen.
Sarah Smith Warren of the NRABC is leading the planning sessions. “In a small community with so many committed, active individuals and groups, our volunteers are spread extremely thin for time and energy. How do we make an impact with limited resources to help sustain our vibrant community? That’s the question we are working to answer.”
The strategic planning sessions are intended to examine and evaluate current programs, services and events for their effectiveness, efficiency, impact, and how they relate to the Chamber’s mission. The Chamber plans to unveil the new plan and annual event calendar within the next few months.
