Business Spotlight: BG’s Massage
Nov 27th, 2012 – Tension, manual labor, athletics and the rigors of everyday life can put a great strain on the muscles of the body. Recently-returned local masseur Brad Georgeson can help work out the knots at BG’s Massage, opening December 4 in New Rockford.
Georgeson (pronounced JER-ge-sen) trained and earned his certification at the Institute of Myotherapeutic Studies in Bismarck, ND in 1999. After a short period working on his own, he joined the Body Connection spa and wellness center, where he worked as a masseur for 13 years. In addition to his work with individual clients, Georgeson also worked with the Dakota Wizards basketball team and the Professional Bull Riders Brazilian rodeo team.
Massages will be provided in a suite at the wellness center on 8th St, in the same building as Eddy County Public Health and Rockin’ Fitness. Appointments are available Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, $50 for one hour or $75 for an hour and a half. Services available include deep tissue massage, Swedish, therapeutic, bamboo, and sports/athletic massage.
Georgeson says that he has returned to the area to help his father work on the farm, and he also works part-time assisting at one of 4th Corporation’s group homes. He says, “I’m happy to be back in the community, around family. I’m definitely here for good.” Georgeson lives on the family farm outside of Sheyenne with his son, Layne.
