Eddy County Museum Hosting Annual Rhubarb Fest
June 6th, 2016 - The Eddy County Museum and Historical Society will host their annual Rhubarb Festival on Sunday, June 26, from 1-4 p.m. at the Museum. Historical Society and community members will bring foods, drinks, and desserts made of the traditional garden staple as a celebration of its diversity, and the ingenuity of chefs and bakers in our region. Free guided Museum tours and games and activities for kids will also be offered during the festival.
Museum President Jessica Dillon adds, “We are especially hopeful that members of the community who enjoy baking will consider bringing in their own new or traditional dishes to share at the festival. The event has become such a favorite we almost run out of dessert every year!”
The $5 admission to the festival is an all-you-can-eat ticket, with all proceeds going to the Museum’s roof repair fund. The Museum (located across from the Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd) is open free of charge to the public on Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m. from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Please contact Jessica Dillon at 947-2205 with any questions, or find the Eddy County Museum on Facebook.
