Save the Date for 2016 “Deal or No Deal” Fundraiser Dinner & Game Show

January 18th, 2016 – Early details for this year’s “Deal or No Deal” fundraiser event have been released, with the date set for the evening of Saturday, March 12 at the New Rockford Golf Course & Events Center. The game, based loosely on the hit TV show, will award $2000 in cash prizes and over $700 in other prizes, in addition to Lucky Duck cash raffles, audience mini-games, and a full catered dinner.

The signature fundraiser is held by and on behalf of the New Rockford Community Foundation, with support from the New Rockford Area Betterment Corporation. Through sponsorships and the event proceeds, last year’s Deal or No Deal fundraiser generated over $10,000 for the Foundation. The grand prize of $2000 was split between winners Delise Kirkeide, Kenny Reis, and Larry Danduran, and more than $1000 in prizes and cash raffle pots were given out throughout the night. As with all funds raised or donated to the Foundation, 100% of sponsorships and net proceeds were deposited into the Foundation’s permanent community endowment fund.

The New Rockford Community Foundation board raises money each year and gives away the interest earned on the total fund as grants to non-profit organizations in the community. All money raised goes into a permanent fund, providing a source of grant funds for local charities long into the future. Since its first grant round in 2010, the NRCF has provided $11,400 in grants to 16 local organizations, with another $3400 expected to be available for 2016 projects.

Watch for more details to be released soon – tickets will be available in a few weeks from Foundation board members. To learn more about the NRCF, make a donation, or get on the pre-sale list for tickets, contact the local coordinator, Jessica Dillon, at (701) 947-2205 or speak to any advisory board member: Josh Guler, Tom Hartl, Laura Hager, Amy Cudworth, Kerri Allmaras, Trisa Fullen, and Alyson Myhre. Donations to the NRCF may also be sent directly to PO Box 775 in New Rockford.
