Lead Local Training Offers Professional Development in New Rockford

January 28, 2016 – Community members interested in developing their skills in leadership, holding productive meetings, becoming a more effective board or committee member, communicating with a group, basic parliamentary procedure and more are invited to participate in NDSU’s Lead Local training, to be held in New Rockford on Monday, February 22, at the Latte Lobby/Opera House.

The NDSU Extension Service Center for Community Vitality, with local support from the Eddy County Extension Office and the New Rockford Area Betterment Corporation, will provide the training. The innovative, one-day workshop runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with lunch provided on site.

Jessica Dillon, Executive Director of the NRABC, says, “This is a tremendous opportunity for the boards and committees in our community. Many of us serve on multiple boards, from non-profits and service groups to school boards, church boards, or government commissions, and it’s vital that we continue to develop our ability to communicate and be productive together.”

There is a $65 registration fee for the course that covers lunch, breaks, and materials. For more information or to register, please call the Eddy County Extension Office at (701) 947-2454 by February 18.
