6th Annual Firecracker 5k Run/Walk Open for Registration

May 23, 2016 – Rockin’ Fitness will hold its annual Firecracker 5k Run/Walk at 8 a.m. on Saturday, July 2nd. The race will begin and end at the city park near the new swimming pool, wind 3.1 miles through town, and end back in the park. Check-in and registration will be open at 7:00 a.m.
Pre-registration is open now - entry for adult participants is $25 before June 17 or $35 from June 18 until race day. Pre-registered participants are guaranteed a free race t-shirt. Youth runners (12 and under) may register for $15 at any time, but will only be guaranteed a t-shirt if pre-registered. Prizes will be awarded in a variety of categories.
Rockin’ Fitness manager Kathy Teschner says, “We are very pleased and proud for having the Firecracker 5k Run/Walk become a traditional event of the 4th of July celebrations in New Rockford. Beginning and ending the race at our beautiful new swimming pool makes it even better!” The Firecracker 5k is sponsored by Peak Performance Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine, PLLC in New Rockford.
