Community Credit Union of New Rockford Gives $10,000 to Pool Project
October 27, 2014 - The Community Credit Union of New Rockford has provided a $10,000 sponsorship gift to support the new Community Swimming Pool project in New Rockford. The gift will go directly towards the building of the new ADA accessible swimming pool, bathhouse and restroom facility, set to open in the summer of 2015.
Marvel Ebenhahn, chief executive officer of the Community Credit Union, said the gift was a unanimous decision made by the board of directors, “We wouldn’t be here without the community and we want to give back to a project that will benefit the entire community for years to come.”
The New Rockford Park District and New Rockford Area Betterment Corporation along with a local Pool Committee are currently fundraising for the new facility. Sarah Smith Warren, Executive Director of the New Rockford Area Betterment Corporation expresses the importance of community giving, “It’s the generous support from local people and businesses who believe in our community that actually makes these projects happen.”
