Rockin' Fitness Welcomes Many at Senior Open House
February 5th, 2015 – Rockin’ Fitness, New Rockford’s 24-hour fitness center, held a Senior Open House on January 29th. The open house was held to welcome new senior members into the gym and provide an opportunity to meet staff and tour the facility. Throughout the day, 41 seniors took tours of the gym, learned how to use the fitness equipment, had their blood pressure checked by ambulance manager Nathan Presnell, enjoyed refreshments, and signed up for door prizes.
Rockin’ Fitness is a SilverSneakers and Silver&Fit facility. These programs, designed especially for older adults, provide a free basic gym membership for seniors with certain Medicare plans. Twelve of the forty-one open house visitors were eligible for free memberships through their insurance companies.
