October 15th, 2015
– The New Rockford Area Betterment Corporation welcomes Jessica Dillon as its new Executive Director, effective October 19th. Dillon has served the NRABC as Assistant Director for the past four years.

Jessica Dillon is originally of McClusky, ND, and was a graduate of New Rockford High School. She earned dual B.A. degrees in Spanish and French at North Dakota State University in Fargo, including a semester living and studying abroad in Madrid, Spain, at Universidad Complutense.

Immediately after college Dillon co-founded a language translation and interpretation company in Fargo, which operated for three years prior to her return to the New Rockford area. She and her husband, Case, now live on the family homestead farm just outside of town with her mother, Patty Wagner.

Dillon is well-known around the community for her work with the NRABC, the New Rockford Community Foundation, the Eddy County Museum and Historical Society, the New Rockford Area Chamber of Commerce, Dakota Prairie Regional Center for the Arts, and Rockin’ Fitness, where she is a personal trainer and group fitness instructor. She brings extensive experience with group leadership, grant writing, marketing and design, fundraising, and project and business management to the new position.

“This title brings a lot of new challenges,” Dillon says, “but this community means so much to me personally, the opportunity to work to sustain and improve it every day in my professional life is as exciting to me now as it was on my first day here. I will strive to serve the community’s best interests with integrity, and look forward to helping build our best possible future together. My door is always open, and I hope members of the public will feel welcome to come in for a chat anytime.”

In early September, Sarah Smith Warren, Executive Director for the past three years, resigned from the position. She will be staying in the community, working independently on marketing, public relations, and project management projects, as well as her photography business, Sarah Smith Warren Photography. Smith Warren says, “It has been a pleasure working with this wonderful community. I am confident that the NRABC is in good hands under the new leadership and the current board of directors.”

The organization will be seeking a part-time Communications and Program Coordinator to fill the vacancy left by Dillon’s promotion.

The NRABC offices are located at City Hall along Highway 281, and are currently open Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and by appointment. The office can be reached at (701) 947-2205 or online at
