Deal or No Deal 2017 Dinner and Game Show Tickets Available Now
February 9th, 2017 – Are you feeling lucky? This year’s “Deal or No Deal” dinner and game show event, the signature fundraiser for the New Rockford Community Foundation, is coming up on March 11 at the New Rockford Eagles Club. The game will award $2000 in cash prizes, in addition to $1300 in gift certificates and prizes from local businesses, Lucky Duck 50/50 cash raffles, audience mini-games, and a full catered dinner.
Registration and a social hour will begin at 6 p.m., followed by dinner of seasoned beef, chicken breasts, sides, and dessert. The Deal or No Deal game - a “reverse raffle” where losers are drawn out one by one, with prizes given out along the way - will begin at 7:00 p.m. with the first round of eliminations. After each round, mini-games for more cash prizes and audience challenges for freebies will keep the crowd entertained and playing along as the final players are revealed.
The final 25 players left in the game will be offered equal shares of $2000 cash, or the opportunity to play on for the chance to win even more money, at the risk of being sent home empty-handed. Last year’s grand prize was amicably split between two winners – Jay Kulsrud and Kathy O’Connor – who each won $1000.
The fundraiser is held by and on behalf of the New Rockford Community Foundation, a permanent endowment fund that provides grant money to local non-profits. Since 2010, the Foundation has granted back over $14,000, with another $3000 expected for 2017 projects.
Event emcee Jessica Dillon says, “It’s a blast every year, like one big party. We’re looking forward to another great evening with our friends and sponsors, getting a little ridiculous and raising money for a really good cause. We also have the highest total value in prizes we’ve ever given away, so we’re hoping to see lots of people turn out for a chance at them!”
Gold level sponsors for Deal or No Deal 2017 are the New Rockford Eagles Club and Bank Forward. Also sponsoring the event are CenDak Farmers Union, Community Credit Union, Donn Frahm Insurance Agency, Eagles Women’s Auxiliary, Evans Funeral Home, James River Dentistry, Mick’s 281 Service, New Rockford Lions Club, North American Bison Co-op, Rockford Theatre, Rockin’ Fitness, Roughrider Feeds, Surety Title Company, Transcript Publishing, and Yri Electric, with the support of the New Rockford Area Betterment Corporation and more than a dozen additional local businesses and organizations.
